22 September 2026 के दूसरे corrigendum में OPSC ने Assistant Public Prosecutor Prelims की तारीख 1 November 2026 से बदलकर 22 November 2026 की है।

Commission ने OCS Main Written Examination-2025 के 29 October से 7 November 2026 तक के schedule को ध्यान में रखते हुए revised date बताई है। Corrigendum में बाकी terms and conditions unchanged रखी गई हैं।

OPSC की official website पर 22 September की “Assistant Public Prosecutor — 2nd Corrigendum” entry देखें। पुराने notification में लिखी exam date के स्थान पर revised date मानें।

Important Dates

Category-wise Vacancy Details

इसके अतिरिक्त advertised horizontal reservations में Ex-Servicemen के लिए 9, Sports Persons के लिए 2 और prescribed permanent disability वाले PwD candidates के लिए 8 positions शामिल हैं। ये संबंधित categories के भीतर adjust होंगी; इन्हें 172 के ऊपर जोड़ना सही नहीं है।

SC/ST/SEBC reservation और संबंधित benefits के लिए notification में Odisha-specific conditions हैं। Other-state category certificate को automatically Odisha reservation का आधार न मानें।

Qualification और Advocate Experience

• Recognised university से Bachelor’s Degree in Law;
• कम-से-कम 2 वर्ष practising Advocate के रूप में experience;
• Bar Council of India/State Bar Council का enrolment certificate;
• Concerned District & Sessions Judge से prescribed Annexure-B में practice-experience certificate.

Bar enrolment date और actual practice का evidence अलग बातें हैं। केवल enrolment को दो वर्ष हो जाने से prescribed experience certificate की requirement समाप्त नहीं होती।

Documents की issue date भी महत्वपूर्ण है: notification संबंधित eligibility certificates को registered online application submission तक उपलब्ध रखने का निर्देश देता है। “बाद में certificate बनवा लेंगे” मानकर incomplete application submit न करें।

First Corrigendum: दूसरे State Bar Council से Registered Candidates

Original Annexure-B की तीसरी line में “Bar Council, Odisha” लिखा था। 9 September के first corrigendum ने स्पष्ट किया कि Odisha के अलावा दूसरे Bar Council में registered candidates उस line को अपने संबंधित Bar Council के अनुसार modify कर सकते हैं।

Odia Language Requirement

Candidate को Odia बोलना, पढ़ना और लिखना आना चाहिए। साथ ही निम्न में से prescribed qualification होनी चाहिए:

• Board of Secondary Education, Odisha द्वारा आयोजित Middle School standard language test in Odia pass किया हो;
• या Matriculation/Class 10 examination में Odia एक subject रहा हो।

केवल भाषा बोल पाने का दावा पर्याप्त नहीं है; notification के अनुसार applicable certificate चाहिए। अपनी eligibility systematically जाँचने के लिए government job eligibility checking guide देखें।

Age Limit और Relaxation

Base age limit 21 से 42 वर्ष, 1 January 2026 को है। Notification की base DOB range: 2 January 1984 से 1 January 2005 तक।

Relaxation categories को मनमाने ढंग से जोड़ें नहीं। Advertisement के cumulative-benefit exception और अन्य category conditions पढ़ें। DOB के लिए High School/equivalent certificate मान्य होगा।

Application Fee और Refund Condition

Fee-paying candidates में examination fee का refund केवल उन उम्मीदवारों के लिए है जो वास्तव में Preliminary Examination में उपस्थित होते हैं। केवल form submit करने पर automatic refund नहीं है।

Refund examination के बाद original payment mode में process किया जाएगा। Technical failure की स्थिति के लिए application में bank details भी माँगी गई हैं। Active account और सही account number/IFSC देना जरूरी है।

Selection Process और Final Merit

Prelims से mains के लिए category-wise vacancies के अधिकतम 10 गुना candidates को prescribed qualifying marks और merit के अनुसार shortlist किया जा सकता है। Interview shortlisting का ratio 1:2 है, category-wise notification में दिए minimum-five provision के अधीन।

Prelims Exam Pattern: 100 Questions, 2 Hours

• एक objective MCQ paper;
• 100 questions, प्रत्येक 1 mark;
• Total 100 marks;
• Duration: 2 घंटे;
• Correct answer: +1 mark;
• Wrong answer: 0.25 mark deduction;
• Unattempted question: 0 mark;
• OMR या CBT mode का निर्णय Commission करेगा।

Practice example: 70 correct, 20 wrong और 10 unattempted answers होने पर score 70 − (20 × 0.25) = 65 marks होगा। यह marking समझने का उदाहरण है, expected cutoff नहीं।

Official Prelims Syllabus

Annexure-A में निम्न old और new criminal laws दोनों दिए गए हैं:

• Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 और Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023;
• Indian Penal Code, 1860 और Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023;
• Indian Evidence Act, 1872 और Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023.

Mains Exam Pattern और Syllabus Overview

Paper I: General English

English-to-Odia और Odia-to-English translation, essay, précis writing तथा comprehension.

Paper II: Criminal Major Laws

CrPC/BNSS, Indian Evidence Act/Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam और IPC/BNS.

Paper III: Criminal Minor Laws

Annexure-A में Arms, Dowry Prohibition, Drugs and Cosmetics, Odisha Excise, explosives, food safety, forest/transit rules, information technology, immoral traffic prevention, juvenile justice, motor vehicles, probation, wildlife और संबंधित Odisha-specific enactments सहित 16 entries हैं। Exact Acts, years और applicable rules के लिए official Annexure-A की पूरी सूची follow करें।

Paper IV: Miscellaneous Laws

• Drafting of petitions, pleadings and argument;
• Law of Torts;
• Indian Contract Act, 1872;
• Transfer of Property Act, 1882;
• Indian Limitation Act, 1963;
• Interpretation of Statutes.

Answers English में देने हैं, सिवाय Odia translation वाले भाग के। General English का standard degree level और अन्य papers का LL.B. level है।

Revised Date तक Preparation कैसे व्यवस्थित करें?

नीचे practical study suggestions हैं; ये Commission का prescribed study plan नहीं हैं।

1. पहले application complete करें: Experience certificate, Odia proof और payment को exam preparation के कारण pending न रखें।
2. तीन paired-law notebooks बनाएँ: IPC–BNS, CrPC–BNSS और Evidence Act–BSA के topics साथ revise करें।
3. Timed MCQs करें: Negative marking को ध्यान में रखते हुए accuracy और error log track करें।
4. Mains को पूरी तरह postpone न करें: Translation और descriptive legal writing के छोटे regular sessions रखें।
5. Weekly review करें: जिन provisions में बार-बार गलती हो, उन्हें bare Act और reliable study material से दोबारा पढ़ें।
6. Exam से पहले official instructions देखें: Exact venue, reporting time और permitted items admission certificate से confirm करें।

Documents Checklist और Annexure-B

• HSC/equivalent certificate for DOB;
• Intermediate/+2, graduation और LL.B. certificates तथा relevant marksheets;
• Grade-only result होने पर university का prescribed conversion certificate;
• Bar Council enrolment certificate;
• District & Sessions Judge का two-year practice certificate, Annexure-B में;
• Required Odia test/subject certificate;
• Applicable caste, permanent-disability, Ex-Serviceman या sports certificate;
• दो original character certificates; इनमें एक issuer कम-से-कम Group-B Government Servant होना चाहिए;
• Valid identity proof;
• Government employees के लिए applicable NOC;
• Recent photograph, full signature और left-thumb impression, portal instructions के अनुसार.

Uploaded photograph की कम-से-कम चार copies आगे उपयोग के लिए रखें। Document verification के समय original documents और prescribed signed copies की आवश्यकता होगी। Original certificates application के साथ संलग्न करके न भेजें।

Files और verification folder तैयार करने के लिए application documents checklist देखें। Annexure-B का corrected Bar Council reference भी जाँचें।

How to Apply Online

1. Official OPSC website खोलें।
2. Advertisement No. 09 of 2026-27 — Assistant Public Prosecutor और दोनों corrigenda पढ़ें।
3. Official website के Apply Online link से application portal पर जाएँ।
4. Registration/profile और required personal details पूरा करें।
5. Qualification, advocate experience, Odia qualification और category details भरें।
6. Photo, full signature, left-thumb impression और requisite documents upload करें।
7. जहाँ applicable हो ₹700 examination fee pay करें और bank details सही दें।
8. 28 September 2026, 5 PM से पहले final submission करें।
9. Final application, registration details और payment acknowledgement सुरक्षित रखें।

Notification के अनुसार submission के बाद information modify करनी हो तो closing date के भीतर application cancel करके फिर apply करने की प्रक्रिया बताई गई है। किसी separate post-deadline correction window को assume न करें। यह कदम उठाने से पहले portal instructions ध्यान से पढ़ें।

Submitted form और payment status समझने के लिए application-status और payment-error guide उपयोगी है।

Admit Card और Examination Centre

Preliminary और Main examinations का venue Kataka/Cuttack में होगा। Exact centre और schedule Commission बाद में बताएगा। Admission certificate official website से download करना होगा; अभी इस corrigendum में उसकी release date नहीं दी गई है।
