Chief Minister Fellowship Research Scholars – Age Relaxation

Research scholars who have successfully completed their tenure under the Chief Minister Fellowship Programme will receive age relaxation up to 03 years in the maximum age limit. The relaxation is provided as follows:

  • 1 year completed – Relaxation of 01 year.
  • 2 years completed – Relaxation of 02 years.
  • 3 years or more completed – Relaxation of 03 years.

Note: The tenure will be calculated as on 1st July of the advertisement year. Age relaxation will only be provided to those research scholars who have completed the maximum age limit prescribed for Government Service while completing the fellowship.

What is OTR (One Time Registration)?

UPPSC has implemented an OTR-based application system. Candidates must first register on the OTR portal (https://otr.parkisha.nic.in) to obtain a unique OTR number. Candidates who have already obtained an OTR number can use it directly.

Mandatory Pre-requisite: Candidates must obtain their OTR number at least 72 hours before submitting the online application.

  • The category, sub-category, domicile, gender, date of birth, EWS, creamy layer, and address as claimed by the candidate till the last date/modification date will be considered valid. No representation for change will be entertained after the last date.

  • Drawing, Graphic and Presentation: Preliminary sketch, presentation drawing, scale, working drawing, and preparing drawings in conventional and modern digital modes like CAD, Revit, and others.
  • History and Contemporary Architecture: Indian Valley Civilization, Vedic civilization, Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain periods. Temple architecture, Mughal architecture, and modern contemporary works.
  • Climatology, Acoustics, Lighting and Illumination: Elements of climate, climate zones, orientation of buildings, climate-responsive design. Basics of acoustics, noise control, and artificial lighting.

Subject: Mathematics (Paper 1, Unit 1 & 2)

  • Unit 1: Problems based on Arithmetic (AP, GP), Harmonic and Geometric Series, Ratio, Percentage, Average, Time and Work, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Permutation and Combination, LCM and HCF, Surds and Indices.

Devanagari script (origin, development, features, limitations, corrections). Hindi Grammar (Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Verb, and their types).   • Unit 4 – Computer: Fundamental of Computer, History, Applications, Organization, Data Representation, Number System, Software, Operating Systems. LAN/WAN/MAN, Network Devices. Introduction to Internet, WWW, E-mail, Cyber Crimes and Cyber Laws.
  • Unit 5 – General Knowledge & Logical Reasoning: Indian History, Geography, Political System, Constitution, and Economy. General Science, Environmental Issues, Sustainable Development Goals. Coding-Decoding, Analogy, Series, Classification, Calendar and Clock, Logical Deduction, and Problem Solving.

3. Microbiologist Examination Syllabus

Unit 1: General Microbiology: Classification of microorganisms, microbial taxonomy (Bergey's manual, rRNA sequencing), fungal classification, protozoa, viruses. Microscopy principles (light, electron, confocal), staining techniques.

Unit 2: Microbial Control, Culture, Growth and GM Foods: Physical and chemical methods of control. Nutritional classes, culture media (natural, synthetic, selective, differential). Pure culture techniques, growth curve, continuous/synchronous growth, preservation of cultures. Genetically modified foods (Golden rice, Bt brinjal, etc.).

Unit 3: Microbial Contamination, Spoilage and Preservation of Food: Contamination sources (air, water, soil). Spoilage of meat, fish, egg, fruits, vegetables, canned foods, bread, dairy, and spices.
