Background: How Candidates Reached This Stage — Full CHT 2025 Timeline

The Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2025 was originally notified by SSC to fill approximately 437 Group 'B' Non-Gazetted posts across multiple categories: Junior Translation Officer (JTO) in the Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS), Junior Translation Officer (JTO) in Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ), Junior Hindi Translator (JHT)/Junior Translation Officer (JTO)/Junior Translator (JT) in various Central Government Ministries/Departments/Organizations, Senior Hindi Translator (SHT), Senior Translator (ST), and Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF.

Important Rule: PwBD/PwD Candidates

As per Para 2.3 of the original Notice of Exam, the post of Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF has not been identified as suitable for any category of PwBD/PwD candidates. Consequently, PwBD/PwD candidates who appeared in Paper-II and had opted for this specific post were not shortlisted for it — though their candidature remains valid for other CHT 2025 posts, if shortlisted there.

What Happens If You Don't Qualify PST?

Candidates who fail to qualify the PET/PST will not be considered for the Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) post in CRPF specifically. However, if such candidates are separately shortlisted for any of the other posts covered under the CHT 2025 Notice of Examination, their candidature remains valid for those posts. The final result for the CRPF post — and for all remaining posts under CHT 2025 — will be declared only after the PET/PST process for the CRPF post is fully completed.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates for Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator), along with JTO/JHT/JT posts, are placed at Pay Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400), plus Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance, and other allowances admissible as per Central Government rules.
