What Is This Recruitment About?

The Office of the District Programme Officer, Bal Vikas (Child Development), Sonbhadra, has released a notification inviting online applications from eligible female candidates for 201 vacant posts of Anganwadi Karyakartri (Worker), under Bal Vikas Pariyojnas (Child Development Projects) operating across 8 projects in Sonbhadra district — Babhani, Chatra, Chopan, Duddhi, Gharaval, Myorpur, Nagwa, and Robertsganj. Eligibility Criteria

• Gender: Only female candidates are eligible.
• Educational Qualification: Minimum Intermediate (12th) or equivalent; maximum qualification considered is postgraduate. Merit is prepared based on percentage of marks obtained up to postgraduate level — High School (10th) marks are NOT included in the merit calculation.
• Age: Minimum 18 years, maximum 35 years, calculated as on 01 July 2026. Only the date of birth mentioned in the High School marksheet/certificate is valid for age purposes.
• Residency (mandatory): Candidate must be a resident of the same Gram Sabha (rural) or Ward (urban) as the vacant post applied for.

Selection Preference (Priority Order)

For direct recruitment to Anganwadi Karyakartri posts, preference is given in the following order:

First preference group — families living below the poverty line, resident of the same Gram Sabha/Ward:

1. Widow woman of a below-poverty-line family
2. Legally divorced or abandoned (parityakta) woman of a below-poverty-line family
3. If no widow/divorced/abandoned candidate is available, any woman from a below-poverty-line family in that Gram Sabha/Ward

If no candidate is found in the above group, the same preference order applies to families living above the poverty line:

1. Widow woman of an above-poverty-line family
2. Legally divorced or abandoned woman of an above-poverty-line family
3. If no widow/divorced/abandoned candidate is available, any woman from an above-poverty-line family in that Gram Sabha/Ward

Documents & Certificate Rules

• Widow status: Death certificate and an attested copy of the family register, issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer/concerned Nagar Nikay, are accepted as proof.
• Divorced/abandoned status: A legal order issued by a competent court is accepted as proof.
• Residence & caste certificates: Only certificates issued via online digital signature from the Tehsil, verifiable online, are accepted.
• Income certificate: Only certificates issued at the competent level per UP Govt Revenue Section-9 GO No. 3959/11-9-11-10-9 dated 30.09.2021 (as amended), verifiable online, are accepted. The BPL income limit follows Samaj Kalyan Anubhag-2 GO No. 22/2015/2123/26-2-2025 dated 14.09.2015 (as amended), for rural and urban areas respectively.
• All certificates (income, caste, residence) must be uploaded in the candidate's own name, with correct application/certificate numbers entered for online verification.

Important Rule — One Family, One Centre

Per Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025(1917687), two women from the same family will not be appointed as Anganwadi Karyakartri and Sahayika at the same Anganwadi centre.
