11 temporary research posts — Project Associate, SRF & Young Professional
The Division of Genetics, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Pusa, New Delhi, has invited eligible candidates for a walk-in interview to fill 11 temporary, contractual, project positions — one Project Associate-I, and Senior Research Fellow / Young Professional roles under a maize-genetics project and the National Mission on High Yielding Seeds. There is no online application — candidates fill a physical application form (embedded below) and bring it, along with original and self-attested documents, to the interview.
- All posts are purely temporary and contractual — for one year or till the project ends, whichever is earlier (may be extended per project rules).
- Posts are co-terminus with the project — no claim to regular ICAR/IARI appointment, absorption, or continuation once the project ends.
- Posts are unreserved (open to all categories) since these are externally-funded project positions, not regular ICAR recruitment.
- No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

- Young Professional (all types): 21–45 years, with relaxation as per rules
- Project Associate-I (ANRF): up to 50 years
- Senior Research Fellow: up to 35 years (men), 40 years (women); +5 years for SC/ST & women, +3 years for OBC, as applicable

No. All 11 posts are purely temporary and contractual, co-terminus with the funding project (ANRF or the National Mission on High Yielding Seeds). There's no claim to regular ICAR/IARI appointment after the project ends.
