State Bank of India (SBI), recognized as the "World's Best Consumer Bank-2026" by Global Finance, New York, has released a notification for the recruitment of Trade Finance Officer - IBG (TFO-IBG) in the Specialist Cadre on a Regular Basis. This is a prestigious opportunity for professionals with expertise in Trade Finance operations.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 45 vacancies across Junior Management Grade Scale - I (JMGS-I) and Middle Management Grade Scale - II (MMGS-II). Selected candidates will be posted at the Hyderabad and Kolkata processing centres.

🎯 Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

2. Age Limit (as on 31 July 2026)

Age relaxation: OBC — 3 years, SC/ST — 5 years, PwBD — 10/13/15 years as applicable.

3. Educational Qualification (as on 31 July 2026)

Mandatory:

• ✅ Graduate (any discipline) from a Government recognized University or Institution
• ✅ Certification in Forex Operations from IIBF (Certificate dated on or before 31 July 2026)

Preferred (Additional Certification):

• 📜 Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS) by LIBF
• 📜 Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) by LIBF
• 📜 Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) by ICC Academy
• 📜 Global Trade Certificate (GTC) by ICC Academy
• 📜 Certificate in International Trade Finance (CITF) by LIBF / IIBF

4. Experience (as on 31 July 2026)

Note: Teaching & Training experience will NOT be counted for eligibility.

💰 Pay Scale & Allowances

The official will be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, Provident Fund, NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, and other perquisites as per rules in force from time to time.

📋 Selection Process

1. Shortlisting — Based on qualification, experience, and suitability. Mere fulfilling minimum criteria does not guarantee a call for interview.
2. Interview — Carries 100 marks. Qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.
3. Merit List — Prepared in descending order based on interview scores only.

Note: In case of a tie, candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order.

📋 Job Profile & Key Responsibility Areas

Maker Role (JMGS-I)

• 📝 Inputs trade transactions, scans and uploads relevant documents
• 📝 Handles TI+ data entry for trade finance transactions
• 📝 Conducts document scrutiny before submission for approvals
• 📝 Inputs screening data and facilitates correct data entry

Checker Role (MMGS-II)

• ✅ Conducts TI+ checking to validate transaction details
• ✅ Performs document scrutiny to verify accuracy
• ✅ Facilitates screening scrutiny against sanctions and AML policies
• ✅ Validates compliance with regulatory requirements
• ✅ Acts as OFAC releaser maintaining regulatory compliance
