🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (as per service rules)
For Assistant Accountant (most departments): Candidate must possess –
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) from a university established by law in India, OR a Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy from a government recognized university/institute; AND
- 'O' Level Diploma in Computer Operation from a government recognized institute.
For Auditor (Local Funds Audit): Same as above (B.Com or PG Diploma in Accountancy + 'O' Level computer diploma).
Preference will be given to: Candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for at least 2 years OR possess an NCC 'B' certificate.
Age Limit (as on 01 July of the advertisement year)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Relaxation: As per UP government rules – SC/ST/OBC (5 years), Ex-Servicemen (additional 3 years plus service period), Freedom Fighter dependents (5 years), Women (no upper age relaxation but category-wise).
Mandatory PET-2025 Requirement
Only those candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and have a positive normalized score (greater than zero) are eligible to apply for this Main Examination. Candidates who scored zero or negative (absolute or normalized) in PET-2025 will NOT be shortlisted for the Main Exam, even if they apply.

📝 Selection Process
- Shortlisting for Main Exam: Based on the normalized score of PET-2025. UPSSSC will shortlist candidates up to 15 times the number of vacancies (category-wise). All candidates with normalized score up to the cut-off (including those with the exact cut-off marks) will be called for the Main Exam.

- Click on the Live Advertisement Segment and find “Advt. No. 14-Exam/2026 – Auditor & Assistant Accountant Main Exam”.
