The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, has issued an official notice inviting Zone / Formation Preferences from all candidates nominated as Inspector (Examiner) through the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2025. A total of 137 vacancies are available across 6 Customs CCAs. Selected candidates must log in to the DGHRD online module and submit preferences by 29 May 2026. The CBIC has officially confirmed via communication dated 26 May 2026 (File No. CBIC-10A12-1-2025-Ad-IIIB Section-CBEC) that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the final result of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2025. Candidates nominated for the post of Inspector (Examiner) must now exercise their zone/formation preferences online via the DGHRD portal.

The notice is signed by Mohammad Ashif, Under Secretary to the Government of India, and refers to SSC's notification dated 09.06.2025 — specifically Annexure-XV, which prescribes physical standards (height, chest, weight, vision, endurance) for both Male and Female candidates for the Examiner post. 📥 How to Submit Online Preferences — Step by Step

  1. Open the portal: https://dghrdcbic.gov.in/allocation/userlogin
  2. Enter your SSC Roll Number, Mobile Number (SSC-registered), Email ID (SSC-registered), and captcha.
  3. Click Generate OTP — OTP will be sent to your registered email ID.
  4. Enter OTP and click Verify OTP.
  5. Read the Brief Instructions and the User Manual tab carefully.
  6. Click Vacancy Position tab to view CCA-wise vacancies; download the PDF.
  7. Click Formation Jurisdiction tab to study commissionerate jurisdictions of each Customs zone.
  8. Click Preferences tab — drop-down will display the 6 Customs CCAs.
  9. Select preferences in order (1st, 2nd, 3rd …) for all available CCAs. Do NOT leave any blank.
  10. Click Save → review entered preferences with CCA codes.
  11. Re-check thoroughly and click Final Submit. A copy is emailed to your registered ID.
  12. Download the preference confirmation PDF for future reference.

⚠️ Critical Instructions — Don't Make These Mistakes

  • One-time only: Preferences can be filed only once. No changes allowed after Final Submit.
  • Fill all 6 CCAs: Do not leave any blank — missing options = no preference.
  • No preference = anywhere: If you don't submit by 29.05.2026, Department may post you anywhere as per administrative need.
  • Merit-cum-preference: Submitting a preference does NOT guarantee allocation to that zone.
