🏢 About the Five Verticals
1. Bharat Petro Resources Limited (BPRL): A wholly-owned subsidiary of BPCL incorporated in October 2006, BPRL carries out the upstream Exploration and Production (E&P) activities of the group. BPCL entered the upstream sector in 2003 to provide partial supply security of crude, hedge price risks and become a vertically integrated oil company. The Exploration, Asset Manager and Reservoir Engineer profiles under BPRL involve deep technical work in seismic interpretation, basin analysis, reservoir simulation, prospect generation, joint-venture management and investment decision-making, requiring expertise in industry-standard software such as Petrel, Paradigm, DecisionSpace and Eclipse.
2. Company Secretary: As a top-100 listed company on the BSE and NSE by market capitalisation, BPCL needs dedicated Company Secretary professionals to strengthen its corporate-governance framework. The CS Team Leader and Team Member roles cover statutory compliance under FEMA, SEBI regulations, the Companies Act and Secretarial Standards, along with handling Board and committee meetings, AGMs, EGMs, shareholder services and secretarial/corporate-governance audits.
3. Finance: The Finance function offers varied exposure including preparation of corporate financials under Ind-AS, fund management, business-finance and commercial roles, taxation, GST compliance, project evaluation, credit and receivable management, and corporate governance, with books maintained in SAP. With 15 vacancies, this is the single largest profile in the recruitment.
4. Petrochemicals: BPCL is undertaking a strategic expansion into petrochemicals through investments in Polypropylene at Kochi, the upcoming Ethylene Cracker & Polymer Complex at Bina, and a proposed greenfield project in Andhra Pradesh. A dedicated Petrochemical Marketing Task Force has been set up, and roles such as Head Sales and Technical Officer – Polymer Marketing aim to build robust sales, application-development and technical-service capabilities.
5. Wayside Amenities (WSA): WSA are modern roadside facilities being developed along India's National Highways and Expressways to make long-distance travel safer and more comfortable. The Team Lead and Site Manager roles focus on retail operations, hospitality, food-and-beverage management, non-fuel revenue generation, customer experience, vendor coordination and revenue growth at highway rest stops.
