A total of 474 candidates whose results had earlier not been processed have now been provisionally permitted to participate in the Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT), subject to the final outcome of the connected legal proceedings.
The candidates have only been provisionally allowed to participate in PE&MT. This does not mean that they have been finally selected, appointed, or granted an unconditional right to continue in the recruitment. Their participation remains subject to the final outcome of the pending Original Applications referred to in the SSC corrigenda.
SSC has issued an important legal/procedural update concerning two major Delhi Police Examination 2025 recruitments.
The development affects candidates of:

🚔 Delhi Police Constable Executive Corrigendum — 423 Candidates
SSC's original result write-up for Constable (Executive) Male and Female in Delhi Police Examination 2025 was dated 19 June 2026.
SSC states that the results of 423 candidates had not been processed earlier in connection with malpractice-related issues referred to in Para 7 of that result write-up.
Under the fresh corrigendum dated 3 September 2026, these 423 candidates have now been provisionally permitted to participate in PE&MT.
⌨️ Delhi Police Head Constable Ministerial Corrigendum — 51 Candidates
The corresponding SSC result write-up for Head Constable (Ministerial) in Delhi Police Examination 2025 was dated 5 June 2026.
The results of 51 candidates had not been processed in the earlier result process for the reason referred to by SSC in Para 7 of the result write-up.
The 3 September corrigendum now allows those 51 candidates to participate in the PE&MT provisionally, subject to the same legal conditions.
⚖️ Why Did SSC Issue These Corrigenda?
Both corrigenda refer to directions of the Hon'ble CAT, Principal Branch, New Delhi, through an interim order dated 20 August 2026 in O.A. No. 2671/2026 and connected matters.
In compliance with those interim directions, SSC has permitted the affected candidates to participate in PE&MT while the underlying legal proceedings remain pending.
Candidates have been given an opportunity to take the physical test for now, but their eventual recruitment status will depend upon the final legal outcome and other applicable recruitment conditions.
🚨 What “Provisionally Allowed” Does NOT Mean
Candidates and readers should avoid interpreting this corrigendum as a final result.
❌ It does not guarantee appointment.
❌ It does not automatically settle the underlying legal proceedings.
❌ It does not override other recruitment eligibility conditions.
❌ It does not create an indefeasible right in favour of the candidates.
✅ What Should the 474 Affected Candidates Do Now?
SSC specifically advises candidates to follow the Delhi Police website for the PE&MT schedule and Admission Certificate.
Do not assume a date based on an earlier or postponed physical-test schedule.
Use the latest Delhi Police instructions once the certificate/schedule is issued.
Candidates should continue physical-test preparation rather than waiting for the final litigation outcome before preparing.
📅 Has SSC Announced the PE&MT Date in These Corrigenda?
No specific PE&MT date is given in either of these two corrigenda.
SSC instead directs candidates to follow the Delhi Police official website for:
- PE&MT schedule; and
- issuance of Admission Certificates.
Do not rely on an old PE&MT date or old Admission Certificate if Delhi Police has subsequently issued a revised schedule. Always follow the latest official notice.
📌 Do the Earlier Result Conditions Change?
No, except for the specific provisional PE&MT participation covered by these corrigenda.
SSC states that all other terms and conditions of:
- the Constable Executive result write-up dated 19 June 2026; and
- the Head Constable Ministerial result write-up dated 5 June 2026
remain unchanged.
