⏱️ 10-Second Verdict: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) for CHSLE 2025. 3,515 of 3,522 vacancies have been provisionally filled based on Tier-II Section-I & Section-II marks (Sections III & IV were qualifying only). If recommended, watch for Identification Verification; if not allocated but qualified, you may be eligible for the Sliding Mechanism — choose your venue/date/slot online between 20–22 August 2026, with the actual sliding process held 1–3 September 2026 at your Regional Office city. Missing the sliding process in person means being treated as absent, with no further consideration.

📋 Background

Tier-I of CHSLE 2025 was declared on 27 February 2026, shortlisting candidates for Tier-II, held on 10 April and 22 April 2026. 🔄 Sliding Mechanism — For Qualified but Unallocated Candidates

The Sliding Mechanism aims to fill remaining vacancies via a single round of reallocation for candidates who qualified but weren't allocated a post in this FRTA round.

1
Log in through the designated login module at ssc.gov.in between 20 and 22 August 2026 to choose your venue, date, and slot for the sliding process.
2
The sliding process itself will be conducted at your Regional Office city between 1 and 3 September 2026. The exact venue address is shown at the login module while choosing your slot.
3
Attend the sliding process in person at your chosen venue/date/slot — candidates who don't attend physically will be treated as absent and dropped from further consideration for the final result.
⚠️ Also refer to the Commission's Notice dated 08.04.2026 on the Sliding Mechanism and other related notices on ssc.gov.in for the full procedure.

📌 Other Notes

  • Representations on Tier-II Answer Keys have been examined and keys modified where necessary; final answer keys were used for evaluation.
  • Final Answer Keys and detailed candidate-wise marks will be uploaded on ssc.gov.in in due course.
  • This is a provisional/tentative allocation — recommended candidates should watch for Identification Verification communication.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What is FRTA in SSC CHSL?
First Round of Tentative Allocation — the Commission's provisional post/department allocation for CHSLE 2025 candidates, based on Tier-II Section-I & II marks (subject to qualifying Sections III & IV) and each candidate's submitted preference of posts.
How many candidates were recommended in the FRTA?
3,515 candidates, against 3,522 total reported vacancies across 56 posts/departments.
I qualified but wasn't allocated a post — what now?
You may be eligible for the Sliding Mechanism. Log in at ssc.gov.in between 20–22 August 2026 to choose your venue/date/slot; the sliding process itself runs 1–3 September 2026 at your Regional Office city. You must attend in person.
How are ties in marks resolved?
First by Section-I marks in Tier-II, then by Tier-I marks, then by date of birth (older candidates placed higher).
Are Sections III and IV of Tier-II counted towards merit?
No. Section III (Computer Knowledge Test) and Section IV (Skill Test/Typing Test) are qualifying in nature only — merit for FRTA is based solely on Section-I and Section-II marks, provided the candidate clears the Section III/IV qualifying cut-offs.
