📋 Eligibility Criteria
Route 1 — By Deputation
Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Police organizations who are:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- Holding the rank of Sub-Inspector (Veterinary) in Level-6 (₹35,400–1,12,400) or an equivalent post, with not less than 5 years' regular service in that grade, or eligible for appointment to such posts in the parent cadre/department;
and possessing the following qualification and experience:
- Pass in Intermediate (10+2) Science with Biology as a main subject from a recognized Board/University; and
- 1 year of experience in treatment of different species of animals in a recognized Veterinary Hospital;
- Medical Category SHAPE-1.
Route 2 — Re-employment for Ex-Servicemen
- Ex-servicemen who held the same or equivalent rank in the Armed Forces, with Medical Category SHAPE-1.
- Armed Forces personnel due to retire, or due to be transferred to civil service, within one year and holding the requisite experience/qualification are also considered — they would be given deputation terms up to their release date, and may continue thereafter on re-employment.
Note 1: Departmental officers in the direct line of promotion are not eligible for deputation, and deputationists are not eligible for consideration by promotion.
Note 2: Deputation period (including any prior ex-cadre deputation in the same or another organization/department) shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years.
Note 3: Maximum age for appointment by deputation, including short-term contract, is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
