What Is This Vacancy About?

The Competent Authority Cell under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, has issued an Office Memorandum (F. No. A-12026/5/2026-CA Cell, dated 03 August 2026) to fill two Group 'A' Gazetted posts of Competent Authority & Administrator — one each at the Office of the Competent Authority & Administrator, Delhi and Kolkata. Eligibility Criteria

Only officers holding one of the following ranks are eligible to apply:

  • Commissioner of Customs, or
  • Commissioner of Central Excise (Commissioner of Central Goods & Service Tax), or
  • Commissioner of Income Tax, or
  • Any other officer not below the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India
