Overview

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), under the Ministry of Railways, have issued a revised tentative CBT schedule for CEN No. 09/2025 — recruitment to various Level-1 posts of the 7th CPC, commonly known as RRB Group D. The notice, dated 30 July 2026, is issued in partial modification to the earlier notice dated 3 July 2026.

The Computer Based Test will now be conducted across 16 days between 3 August and 25 August 2026.

Good to know — this is a revision: if you already noted exam dates from the 3 July 2026 notice, those have been partially modified by this one. Re-check your dates against the current schedule below rather than relying on what you saw earlier.

We independently counted the date blocks — 4 + 6 + 5 + 1 = 16, matching the total stated in the official notice.

How to Find Your Own Exam Date

Your exam date is individual — not everyone sits on the same day. The schedule above is the overall window across which the CBT will run. Here's the sequence:

  1. 10 days before your exam date: the link for viewing your Exam City & Date (and for downloading Travel Authority for SC/ST candidates) goes live on the official website of your respective RRB.
  2. About 4 days before your exam date: download of your E-Call Letter opens, based on the date shown in your Exam City & Date intimation.
  3. On exam day: carry two original ID documents as described above.
Because the window starts 3 August: candidates scheduled in the first block may find their Exam City & Date link already live or opening imminently. Check your own RRB's website now rather than waiting — there is no single shared release date for everyone.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • Two original ID documents required — one must be the same photo ID mentioned in your application. Without these, you will not be allowed to attend the CBT.
  • Keep your Aadhaar unlocked: candidates (including those who verified Aadhaar at application stage) are advised to ensure their Aadhaar account remains in unlocked condition in the UIDAI system before coming to the exam centre, to avoid trouble during registration on exam day.
  • Use only official RRB websites for updates, to avoid being misled by unauthenticated sources.
  • Beware of touts: RRB selections are based solely on the Computer Based Test and candidate merit. Anyone promising an appointment in exchange for money or favours is a fraud.
