About This Recruitment
The Indian Air Force has released the Information Brochure for Intake 01/2027 of Agniveervayu Non-Combatant under the Agnipath Scheme. This is a support-role entry — selected candidates are enrolled for a fixed 4-year engagement and deployed under either the Hospitality Stream (cooking, kitchen management, food service) or the Housekeeping Stream (cleaning, groundskeeping, laundry, barbering, tailoring/leatherwork tasks), based on the stream they apply for and are found suitable for.
Selection is on merit only — the brochure explicitly warns candidates against touts or agents who claim they can arrange selection through illegal means.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Candidates must be born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2009 (both days inclusive) to apply.
- If a candidate clears every stage of selection, their age on the date of enrolment must not exceed 22 years.
Educational Qualification
Passed Matriculation / equivalent examination from an Education Board recognised by the Central Government, a State Government, or a Union Territory, as on the date of registration.
Marital Status
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Selected candidates must give an undertaking not to marry during the 4-year engagement period — those who marry during this period will be discharged from service. Only unmarried Agniveervayu Non-Combatants are eligible for later selection to the regular cadre as NC(E).

Selection Process — 4 Phases

Documents Mandatory for the Written Test — No Exceptions
Candidates must carry their Aadhaar card (as shown on the admit card — alternate valid ID for candidates from J&K, Assam and Meghalaya), a character certificate not older than 6 months signed by a Gazetted Officer/Panchayat Officer/Principal with office seal, and their original 10th/Matriculation passing certificate and marksheet (or a DigiLocker-verified printout with the mobile device available for on-the-spot verification). Under no circumstances will a candidate be allowed to appear without these originals — internet copies and mobile-snapshot printouts of certificates are not accepted.

On completion of 4 years, total contribution to the Agniveer Corpus Fund (candidate + government) works out to roughly ₹5.02 lakh each side, giving an approximate Seva Nidhi exit package of ₹10.04 lakh (excluding interest, absolute figures).
- Additional Risk & Hardship, Dress and Travel allowances as applicable in IAF.
- Ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) as per existing rules.
- Non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh during the engagement period.
- No Provident Fund contribution requirement, and no entitlement to gratuity or pension.
- Annual leave of 30 days per year, plus sick leave on medical advice.
How to Apply — Step by Step
- Download the blank Application Form and other required certificates from the "Application Forms" sub-tab under the "Agniveervayu Non-Combatant" tab on iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in (or use the direct download links above).
- Fill the form in CAPITAL LETTERS ONLY, in English, exactly as guided in the official Form-Filling Guidelines document.
- Write your name, father's name and date of birth exactly as they appear on your Matriculation Certificate.
- Paste a recent (not older than 6 months) passport-size colour photograph, taken while holding a black slate showing your name and photo date in white chalk capital letters — keep two extra copies for enrolment day.
- Attach: self-attested Aadhaar copy, Class 10th marksheet and passing certificate, consent certificate (self-signed if above 18, or by parent/legal guardian if below 18), and a self-addressed envelope with a ₹10 stamp affixed.
- Sign the Certificate by Applicant section and date it.
- Send the completed form by normal post, or drop it in the designated drop box, at any one of the listed IAF stations — choose the location nearest to you; a full list of over 130 postal addresses and drop-box points across India (grouped by Command HQ — WAC, SWAC, CAC, EAC, TC, MC, ANC) is given in the brochure.
- Ensure it reaches on or before 17 August 2026 — applications received after this date will not be accepted, and submitting more than one application leads to total rejection of candidature.

Grounds for Permanent Debarment
