📋 Exam Day Instructions – Reporting & Entry

📌 Reporting Time and Entry Rules

Candidates must strictly adhere to the instructions printed on their E-Admit Card. The specific date of the test will be mentioned on the card. Candidates must report to the examination center at the reporting time given in the E-Admit Card.

Critical Note: No entry will be allowed after the designated entry closing time under any circumstances. Candidates must plan their travel well in advance to avoid being late.

📌 Photo Attendance Sheet

Photo Attendance Sheets will be provided at the examination center. Candidates must fill in their details, sign, affix their thumb impression, and complete any required writings on this sheet in the presence of the invigilator. The completed sheet must be handed over to the invigilator on the exam day.

Candidates are allowed to retain their E-Admit Card after the completion of the exam. However, they cannot leave the examination center before the completion of the exam under any circumstances.

📑 Documents Required for the Skill Test

Carrying the correct set of documents is mandatory for entry into the examination center. The DSSSB has laid down strict rules regarding this.

📌 Mandatory Documents

• Original E-Admit Card: Candidates must bring the original printed copy of their E-Admit Card downloaded from the official website.
• Original Valid Government Photo ID Proof: This ID must have:
  • A clear photograph of the candidate that can be verified with the candidate's face.
  • The candidate's date of birth printed on it.
  • IDs such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport are acceptable.

📌 Important Notes on ID Proof

• Mutilated/Old ID Cards: ID cards that are mutilated, very old, or from which the candidate cannot be verified will not be accepted. No request or plea will be entertained in this regard.
• ID without Date of Birth: If the original Government Photo ID proof does not have the date of birth printed on it, candidates must carry an additional original document as proof of date of birth. Acceptable documents include:
  • Matriculation Certificate
  • Marks Sheet issued by CBSE/ICSE/State Boards
  • Birth Certificate
  • Category Certificate
• Mismatch in Date of Birth: If there is a mismatch between the date of birth mentioned in the E-Admit Card and the Photo ID or the supporting certificate, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

📌 How to Download the E-Admit Card

The E-Admit Card will be uploaded on the official DSSSB website. Candidates can download it by visiting: https://dsssb.delhi.gov.in. Candidates are advised to check the website regularly for updates.

⌨️ Typing Skill Test – Speed, Duration & Scheme

📌 Typing Speed Requirements

As per the advertisement, candidates shortlisted from the Computer Based Examination are required to appear in the Typing Skill Test. The required speed and duration are as follows:

📌 Font and Keyboard Details

• The font for the Hindi Skill Test is KrutiDev / Mangal (Remington GAIL / Inscript).
• A compatible normal English keyboard will be provided at the center.
• The Board will provide the computer and keyboard for the Typing Test.

📌 Computer Functionality Check

Candidates are instructed to check all the keys of the computer at the exam center. They should ensure and satisfy themselves that the computer machine is functioning properly during the mock test. This is the only window to report any technical issues.

♿ PwBD Exemptions & Facilities – Special Provisions

The DSSSB has made specific provisions for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) to ensure an inclusive and fair examination process.

📌 Exemption from Typing Test

PwBD candidates who claim to be permanently unfit for appearing in the Typing Test because of a physical disability may be exempted from the Typing Test. To claim this exemption, candidates must:

• Submit a Certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-A) issued by the Competent Medical Authority (i.e., the Civil Surgeon of a Government Health Care Institution) declaring the candidate permanently unfit for the Typing Test because of a physical disability.
• Submit an undertaking in this regard at the Skill Test Centre on the date mentioned on the E-Admit Card.
• Substantiate their claim by furnishing the relevant medical documents.

Important: Only candidates who submit the proper medical certificate for exemption from the typing test will be permitted exemption. However, they must physically remain present at the typing test center. Absence from the typing test without seeking exemption will disqualify the candidate, even if they are entitled to such exemption.

📌 Scribe / Passage Dictator for Visually Handicapped Candidates

Visually Handicapped Candidates (Low Vision/Blind) are eligible for a Scribe / Passage dictator.

• Selection: The Scribe/Passage dictator is identified by the candidates at their own cost and as per their own choice.
• Reading of Passage: The Scribe/Passage dictator will read out the passage to candidates only within the allotted time.
• Braille: Passages will not be provided in Braille for the candidates.
• Restrictions: A person acting as a Scribe/Passage dictator for one candidate cannot be a Scribe/Passage dictator for another candidate. The Scribe/Passage dictator arranged by the candidate should not be a candidate for the same examination.
• Misconduct: The candidate shall be responsible for any misconduct on the part of the Scribe/Passage dictator brought by them during the Typing test.
• Documentation: Both the candidate and the scribe/passage dictator must submit a 'Letter of Undertaking for using own scribe' in the prescribed format (Annexure-B).
• Compensatory Time: PwBD candidates availing the facility of a scribe/passage reader and/or compensatory time must produce relevant original documents along with photocopies at the time of the exam and Document Verification. Failure to produce such supporting documents will lead to cancellation of their candidature.

🚫 Prohibited Items & Code of Conduct

📌 Prohibited Items

Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying the following items into the examination hall:

• Books, notes, loose sheets, or any study materials.
• Mobile phones (even if switched off).
• Smart watches, Bluetooth devices, or any other electronic devices.
• Metallic items or any other item that may cause hindrance to the conduct of the examination.

Important Note: No arrangement will be made at the center for keeping bags, mobile phones, or any other belongings of the candidates. Candidates are advised not to bring these items to the center.

📌 Code of Conduct

• Candidates must abide by the instructions given by the Centre Superintendent, Invigilator, or Board staff.
• Any candidate who fails to follow instructions or indulges in disorderly or improper conduct will render themselves liable to expulsion from the Test, as well as other penalties as the Board may deem fit to impose.
• If any candidate is found using any unfair means or impersonation, they will be debarred from all examinations of DSSSB for lifetime, and/or necessary legal action will be initiated.

📌 Provisional Candidature – Important Notice

The DSSSB has issued a clear disclaimer regarding the provisional nature of the candidature for the Skill Test.

• Eligibility Verification: The candidature for the Skill Test is strictly provisional. Candidates must satisfy themselves that they possess the required qualification, age, caste, and admissibility of reservation benefits as stipulated for the post they have applied for, as on the cutoff date. If a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, their candidature will be treated as debarred/invalid ab-initio.
• Rejection Rights: The Board reserves the right to reject the candidature of any ineligible candidate at any stage of the recruitment.
• Final Verification: The candidature of every candidate is purely provisional at every stage until they are offered appointment by the concerned Department, after due verification of documents and eligibility.
• Court Orders: The candidature is also subject to the outcome of any direction, decision, order, or pronouncement of any court of law. Mere issuance of the E-Admit Card or appearance at the examination/test does not entitle a candidate to any claim for the post.

⚖️ Board's Reserved Rights & Finality of Decisions

The DSSSB has outlined several rights it reserves to ensure the integrity of the recruitment process.

• Cancel or Modify Process: The Board reserves the right to cancel a part of or the entire process of the examination/test due to administrative reasons, in case of unfair means, cheating, or other irregularities/malpractices noticed by the Board.
• Change Exam Center: The Board reserves the right to cancel or set up a new examination center and divert candidates to appear at that center if required.
• No Change Requests: No request for a change in date, time, or center of the exam will be accepted under any circumstances.
• Final Decision: The decision of the Board in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, penalty for false information, mode of selection, conduct of examination(s), allotment of examination center, selection, and allotment of posts/organizations to selected candidates will be final and binding on all candidates.

📌 Additional Instructions for Candidates

• Travel and Expenses: Travelling and other expenses shall be borne by the candidates themselves. The Board does not make any arrangements for the lodging or boarding of candidates.
• Familiarity with Scheme: All candidates are advised to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the scheme of the Skill Test given in the Vacancy Notice (Advertisement No. 03/23 dated 10.11.2023).
• Website Monitoring: Candidates are advised to visit the DSSSB website (https://dsssb.delhi.gov.in) regularly for any updates or information regarding the post code. While email and SMS are additional communication channels, the Board shall not be responsible for any lapse on the candidate's part in checking the website.
• Re-read Important Paragraphs: Candidates are advised to re-read Para-11 and Para-12 of the Vacancy Notice (Advertisement No. 03/23 dated 10.11.2023) regarding "Action against candidates found guilty of misconduct" and "Board's Decision Final," respectively.
