The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released a revised notification for the recruitment of 107 Assistant Professor (B.Ed) posts in non‑government aided B.Ed colleges across Uttar Pradesh.
The online application process started on 23 May 2025 and the last date to submit the application form is 14 June 2025 (till 5:00 PM). This recruitment follows Advertisement No. 51, which was issued under the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Commission (UPHESC).
This recruitment is open to candidates with a postgraduate degree and a B.Ed/M.Ed qualification, along with a Ph.D. or NET clearance. Applicants can apply through the official website upessc.up.gov.in.
However, candidates should note that following a paper leak scandal, the exam originally scheduled for April 2025 was cancelled. The Government of Uttar Pradesh has announced that a fresh examination will be conducted soon. 🎓 Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet any one of the following sets of qualifications:
- Path 1: Master’s Degree in Science / Mathematics / Social Science / Commerce / Language with at least 55% marks and B.Ed degree.
- Path 2: Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks and M.Ed degree.
- Path 3: M.A. in Education with at least 55% marks and B.Ed/B.El.Ed or equivalent degree with 55% marks.
Additionally, candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Pedagogy or have qualified the NET/ SLET/ JRF or an equivalent examination recognised by the UGC.

⚠️ Important Update: Exam Cancellation and Re‑conduction
The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, ordered the cancellation of the Assistant Professor recruitment examination conducted in April 2025 due to serious irregularities, including a question paper leak. The UP Special Task Force (STF) arrested three individuals – Mehboob Ali, Baijnath Pal and Vinay Pal – for preparing and selling fake question papers.
As a result, the original exam (held on 16 & 17 April 2025) has been scrapped to protect the future of aspiring candidates and uphold transparency in the state’s recruitment process. The government has directed the UPESSC to conduct the examination afresh “as soon as possible” in a completely transparent manner.
At present, the validity of the online applications submitted earlier is being reviewed. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official UPESSC website upessc.up.gov.in for updates on the new examination schedule, admit card release, and any required changes to the application process.
