A total of 933 vacancies have been announced for prestigious services including IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and 20+ other Group A and Group B Central Services. Vacancy Details
- Total Vacancies: 933 (including 33 posts reserved for PwBD candidates)

Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (any stream) from a recognised university
- Age: 21–32 years (Gen) | 21–35 years (OBC) | 21–37 years (SC/ST) | 21–42 years (PwBD)
- Attempts: General: 6 | OBC: 9 | SC/ST: Unlimited (till age limit)
- Nationality: Indian Citizen (mandatory for IAS/IPS)
Selection Process
- Prelims (Screening): GS Paper I (200 marks) + CSAT Paper II (200 marks) – Objective Type
- Mains: 9 Descriptive Papers – 1750 Marks (merit-based)
- Interview / Personality Test: 275 Marks
- Final Merit: Based on Mains + Interview (total 2025 marks)
Application Fee
- General / OBC / EWS (Male): ₹100
- SC / ST / PwBD / All Female Candidates: Nil (Exempted)
New Changes in UPSC CSE 2026
- New 4-module online application portal with Aadhaar-based face authentication
- Candidates currently serving in IAS or IFS cannot apply again
- One-time training exemption allowed for candidates allocated to IPS/Group A services
- Service preference change window available after Mains 2026 result
IAS Salary (After Selection)
- Junior IAS: ₹56,100/month + DA + HRA + other allowances
- Cabinet Secretary level: ₹2,50,000/month
