The Government of Telangana, Department of School Education has officially released the TGTET (Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test) June 2026 notification on 13 April 2026. This is a mandatory eligibility test for candidates aspiring to become teachers for Classes I to VIII in government, local authority and private schools in Telangana. The exam will be conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode from 15 June to 30 June 2026. Online applications are open till 30 April 2026. Best part — TGTET certificate is valid for LIFETIME!

Paper I — Classes 1 to 5
- 12th Pass (Intermediate) with 50% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed./D.Ed.
- 12th Pass with 45% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Graduation with B.Ed. (concerned subjects)
- Final year D.El.Ed. candidates bhi apply kar sakte hain ✅
Paper II — Classes 6 to 8
- Graduation with 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed.
- Graduation with 45% marks + 4-year B.A./B.Sc. Ed.
- B.El.Ed. with minimum 50% marks
- Language Pandit qualification (for language teachers)
- Final year B.Ed. candidates bhi eligible hain ✅
