The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the much-awaited SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2026 Notification on its official website ssc.gov.in. The notification (F. No. E/13/2026-C-2) was published on 24 April 2026, announcing approximately 731 vacancies for the posts of Stenographer Grade 'C' (Group B Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade 'D' (Group C Non-Gazetted) across various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.
This is one of the most awaited recruitments for 12th pass candidates with stenography skills who aspire for a stable Central Government job with attractive salary under the 7th Central Pay Commission. The online application process has started from 24 April 2026 and the last date to apply is 15 May 2026 (11:00 PM). The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is tentatively scheduled to be held in July-August 2026.
📢 Important Update: SSC has migrated to a new official portal. Old OTR (One-Time Registration) credentials will not work. Candidates must complete a fresh OTR on the new portal at ssc.gov.in before filling the application form. A correction window will be available from 20 May to 21 May 2026.

1. Educational Qualification
- 🎓 Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
- 🎓 Educational qualification must be acquired on or before 1 August 2026.
- 🎓 Candidates must possess stenography skill in English or Hindi.
