The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Provisional Answer Keys for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Paper 2A (B.Arch) and Paper 2B (B.Planning) on its official website jeemain.nta.nic.in on 25 April 2026. Along with the answer keys, NTA has also uploaded the Question Papers with Recorded Responses for all candidates who appeared in the Session 2 Paper 2 examinations held in April 2026.
Candidates who are not satisfied with any of the answers in the provisional answer key can submit their challenge online by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question challenged. The challenge window is open from 25 April 2026 to 27 April 2026 (11:50 PM). Based on the challenges received and reviewed by subject experts, NTA will release the Final Answer Key and declare the JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Result accordingly.
⏰ Critical Deadline: No challenge will be accepted after 27 April 2026 (11:50 PM). Payment must be made via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking only. Challenges without processing fee will not be entertained. The keys finalised by experts after settlement will be final and binding.

How to Download JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Provisional Answer Key
Follow these step-by-step instructions to download your answer key and recorded responses:
- Step 1: Visit the official JEE Main portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Step 2: On the homepage, look for the link "Display of Provisional Answer Keys – JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 Paper 2A & 2B".
- Step 3: Click on the link – you will be redirected to the candidate login page.
- Step 4: Enter your Application Number, Password, and the Captcha Code displayed on the screen.
- Step 5: Click on the "Submit" button.
- Step 6: Your candidate dashboard will show options to:
- 📄 View/Download Question Paper
- 📋 View/Download Recorded Responses
- ✅ View/Download Provisional Answer Key
- Step 7: Download all three files in PDF format.
- Step 8: Cross-check your responses with the answer key to estimate your expected score.
- Step 9: If any discrepancy is found, proceed to challenge the answer key (process explained below).
How to Challenge JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Answer Key – Step-by-Step
If you wish to raise objection against any question's correct option in the provisional answer key, follow this exact procedure as per Annexure 1 of the official notice:
- Step 1: Go to the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Step 2: Click on "Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key".
- Step 3: Login with your Application Number and Password, enter the Captcha Code, and click Submit.
- Step 4: Click again on "Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key".
- Step 5: You will see all Question IDs in sequential order for your paper:
- Paper 2A (B.Arch): 25 + 50 Questions (Mathematics / Aptitude Test)
- Paper 2B (B.Planning): 25 + 50 + 25 Questions (Mathematics / Aptitude Test / Planning-based MCQs)
- Step 6: The ID listed under the column "Correct Option" is the most appropriate Answer Key marked by NTA.
- Step 7: If you wish to challenge that option, click the checkbox next to any one or more of the alternative Option IDs given in the next four columns.
- Step 8: Upload supporting documents by clicking "Choose File and Upload". Important: All supporting documents must be combined into a single PDF file.
- Step 9: After clicking your desired option, scroll down and click "Save your claim". Move to the next screen.
- Step 10: You will see a display of all the Option IDs you have challenged for review.
- Step 11: Click on "Save your claim and Pay Fee finally".
- Step 12: Select the Mode of Payment and pay the non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question challenged via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking.

- Login using your Application Number and Password.
- Your question paper with recorded responses will appear on screen.
- Download the PDF for your reference.
- Match each question's recorded response with the corresponding correct option in the answer key.
- Calculate your estimated score using the JEE Main marking scheme: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect, 0 for unattempted.
